Summer League 2020 2021
Trophy Kiss

The ladies’ would like to start a B team so are keen for more ladies to join for both ladies and mixed tennis.

The men’s teams are expanding to 4 teams (and a team in the Friday Avon league) so are looking to recruit more players to join the squad. The season begins in April and continues into July.

The men’s A team play in North Somerset and are promoted to Division 1 for summer 2020 2021 for the first time ever after winning Division 2. Our B team narrowly missed out on promotion for a third year running, and will again be attempting to get promotion from Division 6 this year.

After being promoted to Division 3 two seasons ago, the Ladies Team came 4th, keeping their place in the division. The Ladies Team would benefit from additional players and would welcome any interest to strengthen their promotion ambitions and perhaps start at B team at some point starting in division 7.

Winter League

League tennis doesn’t end in the summer we are enjoying a successful winter mixed team in the North Somerset Autumn League where we have involved a large number of men and ladies, and gained promotion from the bottom division last winter.  We have also started a new men’s Vets team (over-45s) which is likely to finish 3rd in division 3.

If you’ve not played league before (including juniors) and would like to have a go let us know.

  • To continuously improve playing facilities for members
  • To continue to expand our present programme of activities
  • To encourage the wider community to participate in tennis
  • To provide a range of competitive subscriptions
  • To provide a centre of excellence for junior tennis

These aims form part of the LTA’s ‘Club Vision’ which we embrace wholeheartedly and with whose support we intend to make tennis truly accessible to, and affordable and enjoyable for all.
